Dr. Mojgan Habibi is a contemporary Iranian Australian artist. Habibi has been awarded several awards and grants; she works on private commissions for public art. She had 6 solo exhibitions, has participated in 24 group exhibitions, has been a finalist in nine 9 art competitions and she has participated in artist in residence programmes, including Redgate (Beijing, China) Waverley Artist Studios (Bondi, NSW), Hill End Residency (Hill End), Newington Armory (Sydney Olympic Park).

Habibi’s artistic practice references poetry, mythology, nature and history to encourage her audience to become aware of the importance of participation in contemporary affairs concerning common good.

She constructs her installations without immediately recognisable content. She believes that each human being ought to contribute to public life, because awareness of the possibility of participation, even without action, is already an active act.

Her sculptural form and installations can also be read as representing a journey of everyday life, informed by sensation and thought towards beauty and spiritual harmony where a dialogue among civilisations, cultures and differing ideas is possible. Her works explores notions of hope and transformation.
